+Bitty & Beau’s Coffee is more than a cup of coffee – it’s a human rights movement. The original shop opened January 2016 in Wilmington, NC with additional shops opening in Charleston, Savannah and Annapolis. With 80% of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) unemployed nationwide, the shops, which are run by people with disabilities, create a culture where diversity is not just appreciated, it’s celebrated. Bitty & Beau’s Coffee currently employs 120 people with IDD and has been featured on The Today Show, Rachael Ray, CNN, Harry, Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, HLN, People Magazine and Southern Living Magazine. Founder, Amy Wright, was named 2017 CNN Hero of the Year.
